Day 29: Tyler.
I chose Tyler as my topic for Day 29 for one reason. He does not like or understand the 29th day of February. It really messes with him so I thought I'd give him a reason to enjoy it!
I am incredibly lucky to have Tyler in my life. He has the best laugh and cure the worst the day in seconds. It's funny when I look back over the past three years. They've been wonderful and bizarre at the same time. We often dwell on why things happen, but I can tell you that I am not so concerned with they "why" anymore. I am so thankful for the fact that they did happen and that each day is better than the one before.
We've got big plans for 2012 and I am lucky to share them with him.
Happy Leap Year y'all! Hope you have a fabulous day!
xoxo

Love Love Love: Day 28
Day 28: Monograms.
I love a good monogram... lucky for me they are more popular than ever at the moment. I am really into taking monograms to the next level. How beautiful is the bedding with the orange applique? Luxury Monograms has their own take on this design. Oh, and who doesn't dream of monogrammed Louis Vuitton Luggage?!
Speaking of... what will my new monogram be? HBR or HER? I just love my middle name...

Love Love Love: Days 23, 24, 25 & 26
Day 23: Black & White Photos.
I love a good black & white photo. They're timeless and accent any type of decor perfectly. I am very much looking forward to a good B&W of Ty and I from our engagement shoot. I hope Erin Woolsey is reading....
Day 24: Boxers.
I'm not shy about my obsession with Boxer Babies. I LOVE them. I truly believe that Boxers are the best family members. Not only are their pudgy faces too much for me to handle, they have the biggest hearts and never forget how much they love you. Seriously, they are more obsessed with you than you've ever been with anyone or anything.
Day 25: Wedding Planning.
I am shy about wedding planning. I don't want to bore anyone with all the flowers and blogs and nonsense that I look at on a daily basis, but I have to say that I love planning our wedding. Don't get me wrong... I'm ready for Aug. 4th to get here but I do love soaking it up everyday. Thankfully, Tyler isn't opposed to talking about it and has been known to plan a thing or two himself. We are pretty excited y'all!
Day 26: Honeymoon Dreaming.
As excited as we are for the wedding, I think we are doubly excited for the Honeymoon! Although I don't know where we're going, I know that sunshine, sand and fruity (strong) drinks will be involved. Honey, thanks for planning something fab.
Day 27: Tuesdays.
Why do I love Tuesdays?? Because Monday is over!! It's that kind of day y'all! See you tomorrow!
(This cartoon was on my dad's refrigerator at his office my entire life.. I have it now!)

Love Love Love: Days 18, 19, 20, 21 & 22
I'm way behind so bear with me...
Day 18: Mi Cocina.
Day 18: Mi Cocina.
I know, I know.. not real mexican food. Whatever. I have had some fab memories at the Highland Park Village location- most importantly our first date. Typical, I know, but we wanted to do something low key and not intimidating so we had fajitas and tossed back a couple of mambos... how's that for letting loose?! You should visit the HP MiCo during the holidays, those lights are definitely something to talk about.
Day 19: Statement Necklaces.
I love the idea of a bold necklace with a plain top or strapless dress. I'm currently searching for the perfect addition to my rehearsal dinner dress- check out this bride. That is a bold little number.
Day 20: Buddhas.
My Mimi had a moderate obsession with buddhas and it seems she has passed it down to me. My favorite items in my house are the buddha lamps of hers that I have always coveted. I've also got them stashed about in hiding places- we could all use a little good luck now and then- if you find one, give it a good rub!
Day 21: Backyards and Patios.
Spring is almost here which means it is almost patio season. Tyler and I are also searching for the perfect house- one of our main "musts" is a good backyard. Check out those beauties, hello dream world.
Day 22: Vince.
Vince is my favorite. There isn't another clothing line that describes me better plus their jeans fit me perfectly, even the length of the cropped style is perfect. Although Sussie's sells Vince and my heart will always belong to my mom, I had the pleasure of building a Vince location in Highland Park Village. How fun, right?! My two loves: Construction + Clothing.

Love Love Love: Day 17
Day 17: Road Trips.
Tyler and I spend a lot of time in the car. We used to spend a lot more, but it was separate travel- him to see me, me to see him.. which is probably why we love dual road trips now. Well, I shouldn't say dual. Lola is always with us. Whether we are driving an hour to Celina, three hours to Burk or twelve hours to Santa Fe, we have the best time losing our minds in that teency little space.
I have to say that driving to Austin and Lubbock are my favs. There is something about driving through West Texas that is wonderful to me, especially when you hit the red dirt canyons. Gosh, it brings back a lot of memories. Oh, and who doesn't love the Texas Hill Country? One thing we've never done together- drive to the beach or along the beach. We have a travel bucket list of things to do together- that is definitely on there.
Today we drive again.
Have a good weekend. See you Monday.

Love Love Love: Days 15 & 16
Day 15: Inspirational Quotes reworked.
A good quote is sometimes better than a best friend. Sometimes they're relatable, sometimes they're the perfect slap in the face and sometimes they bring you to tears... But a beautifully presented quote can almost knock your socks off!

Day 16: A good salad.
I eat salad almost everyday. Not only do I eat salad, I eat the same salad (poor tyler). I do manage to change them up every now and then. Sometimes I'll add apples other times strawberries or avocado but I always use the same homemade dressing. It is wonderful.
Salad Dressing:
Olive Oil
Red Wine Vinegar
Lemon Juice or Orange Juice
One drop of honey or One drop of honey mustard (depends on preference)
Salt
Pepper
Green Onions- This is the key ingredient. It cuts all the acid, all the sugar and brings out the perfect mix of all the ingredients.

Love Love Love: Day 14
Day 14: Love.
As silly as most think this holiday is, I secretly LOVE celebrating those I love and how much I love them! Not to mention how perfectly the colors of love coordinate.
Tyler- He's perfect and I'm lucky that I get to love him! Not to mention the beauties he sent me today! Love them!
Mom- You're pretty fab and because of you, I think i'm pretty fab too! Love you so much.
Lola- The BEST dog in the world. This is our seventh Valentine's Day together.
Brad & Nicolle- Not only do I have a wonderful brother, I get to have the BEST sister too!
Sue Sue & Ted- I'm pretty lucky to call you family. Thanks for all that you do!
Maryl, Jake, Gus & P- Miss y'all a lot. M: So glad to call you my sister. Love you!

Love Love Love: Days 11, 12 & 13
Day 11: Cupcakes.
If you know me, you know that I love cupcakes. I wish more than anything that I was good at making them- I am good at making a lot of things (specifically cheesecake) but I cannot master a good cupcake. I used to loathe Sprinkles- I thought they were too dry and had too much frosting but I have to say... if you time it right and make it in just as the red velvet are coming out of the oven you have hit the jackpot!
Day 12: Champagne.
I have to say that a nice, full glass of champagne can cheer me up on even the darkest day. I am really looking forward to August 4th- a really good excuse to drink A LOT of champagne. I'll spend some time tomorrow with a bottle and a cute guy. I'm surprisingly excited about this lovey dove holiday this year.
Speaking of the wedding- I'm thinking that we will have a mimosa bar the day of.... I think the girls will like that. Ro and I definitely will.
(My friend Jennie sells the swanky brand pictured... it's what all the fancy people are drinking.)
Day 13: French Macaroons.
The way to my heart is through French Macaroons. The most depressing part about that statement is that NO ONE and I mean no one in Dallas makes one that is truly wonderful (if you know a place, please tell). They are so light and have the perfect little crunch when you bite into them. If you're in NYC and you happen by Laduree, please stop in for me. I'll love you forever.... Sarah, I'm talking directly to you!!

Love Love Love: Day 10
Day 10: Cowboy Boots.
I adore a great cowboy boot. I think it started with my Uncle Jerry- he always had the brightest and boldest custom boots. I got my first pair when I was roughly two (we still have them) and I have adored them since. Tyler has a great pair of customs that his dad had made for him, we often talk about what mine would look like if we had some made for me. What a loaded question- I have no idea how to answer it. For now I am sticking to perfectly made regular boots that you can find anywhere.... don't you think I need some new ones for Santa Fe? I agree... I definitely do.
There is a great little shop in Houston that reworks vintage boots. You can find great deals there... if you have patience. I've obviously never found any that I love there for that very reason. There is no website, but it's call Texas Junk Co.
So, these are two options I'm considering. What do you like?

Love Love Love: Day 8
Day 8: Chanel Make Up.
I have always loved Chanel Make Up. I find myself thinking that maybe there is something better out there, but it never fails- I always go back. Their glosses are fab and they find a way to give you a flawless complexion without gobs of goods on your face. Best. Makeup. Ever.

Love Love Love: Day 7
I am loving the colors of Spring. It's as if designers thought about it for a minute and realized that mentally we (you and me) define seasons by color. ps- this is my rehearsal dinner dress. LOVE.

Love Love Love: Days 4, 5 & 6
Day 4: Our story.
I love the story of how Tyler and I met and everything fell into place. For those of you who don't know, we met at his sister's baby shower in Austin, TX. Maryl and I had been friends in college, but lost touch after graduation. I randomly reached out to Tyler (having never spoken to him or really met him) via facebook to get Maryl's information. Six months later Maryl was pregnant and we were reconnecting after a few years. I drove to Austin for the afternoon to celebrate baby Gus and see Maryl for the first time in at least four years.... in the background of the room was Ty and the rest is history.
We were the two of the only single people there so we connected immediately. Two weeks later we went on our first date in Dallas. From there we spent the next year and a half dating long distance (this really meant four days apart, three days together because we were quickly obsessed with each other). Eventually Tyler took the leap and moved to Dallas to be closer to me and Lola. Three years later we are planning our wedding and looking forward to whatever comes next for us.
As of Feb. 4th, we are SIX MONTHS away!
Day 5: Hanky Panky Panties.
I have lived in hanky panky panties for the past five years. I am obsessed. A line that used to specialize in two different thongs- Low Rise and Normal Rise- has adapted into a full fledged lingerie brand. I picked up the new spring print yesterday and am looking forward to this fun bra for Valentines Day!!
Day 6: Wallpaper.
Isn't it funny that this once extremely present trend is making a major comeback? I am so excited to find the perfect area to use the Beverly Hills Hotel Banana Leaf print in our future house. I'm obsessed. I hope this trend doesn't die out anytime soon because I see lots of wallpaper in our future. Thank goodness Tyler's mom is a pro.

Love Love Love: Day 3
Glamour's "Hey It's OK...." Column is one of my favorite things about this magazine. Of course I know that it's okay to glance at my reflection every time I walk into my office, but it's nice to get confirmation.
The best part about this one is the "Um, Not Ok...."

Love Love Love
It's the month of love so why not celebrate daily. I missed yesterday (poor planning) so today you get two "Things I Love..."
1. The Perfect Purse.
I'm deciding between two at the moment. Here they are...
Botkier Valentina Bag. I love the mint, but I'm hoping for it in black.
Clare Vivier La Tropezienne. Black or Saddle
2. The Perfect Wedge.
Dolce Vita
Jimmy Choo. These come in orange. I think they would be so fun for the wedding. Am I crazy?
